Need to know
With Marriott free night certificates, you can “top off” each certificate with up to 25K Marriott points. Which means, you could possibly use a 50K free night certificate at a night costing up to 65K points/night.
After you hold this card one year, you can call Chase and request to product this card to a Ritz Carlton card – which is fantastic because you cannot outright apply for a Ritz Carlton card.
My Take
Marriott free night certificates expire 1 year from when they are awarded – so have a plan for them
