One thing to keep in mind, this is a pay-in-full card, meaning your balance is due in full every month.

Hitting the Minimum Spend

Here are some of the things I’ve done to hit large minimum spends:

  • Pay taxes/estimated taxes with your card (there is a fee, but the welcome offer points more than offset that)
  • Contact your insurance company and set up to pay home owner’s insurance directly instead of rolled into your mortgage
  • Pay car insurance
  • Prepay subscriptions
  • Instead of paying monthly installments on child’s sports – pay lump sum
  • If you have any paid hotel stays coming up, contact them and ask to pay now

Welcome Offer Eligibility

  • You can hold any Capital One personal card and still qualify
  • Existing or previous Spark cardholders may not be eligible for the Venture X Business bonus
  • Note: It’s a pay-in-full card (balance due every month)

Thank you for supporting my small business! When you use my affiliate links to apply for a credit card, I earn a commission from the bank. But you still get the same great offer! And this helps me keep my guides and personal help free.
