How Seat Selection Benefit Works

  • Who’s Included: The primary cardholder and up to eight additional travelers on the same booking (up to 9 total).
  • Important to Know: If the cardholder is removed from the reservation, the seat benefit no longer applies to the other passengers.
  • It doesn’t matter which card you use to pay for the flight (or award taxes). As long as you hold this card and book using your Southwest Rapid Rewards number, the benefit applies.

Southwest Card Eligibility

  • You can only hold 1 personal Southwest card at a time
  • You can hold 2 Southwest business cards at a time
  • To be eligible to receive a welcome offer on a personal Southwest card, it needs to be 24 months from when you last received a welcome offer on a personal Southwest card
  • To be eligible to receive a welcome offer on a business Southwest card, it needs to be 24 months from when you last received a welcome offer on a business Southwest card
  • You can hold a personal and business card (or 2 business cards) at the same time
