When Selecting a Card, Does the Order Matter?
It is important to carefully decide which American Express PERSONAL cards you would like to eventually hold.
Essentially, if you’d eventually like to be eligible for welcome offers on all 3 of these cards, this is the order you should open them:
💚 Once you get the welcome offer on the American Express® Green Card, you can still get the welcome offers on the American Express® Gold Card and Platinum Card® from American Express.
💛 Once you get the welcome offer on the American Express® Gold Card, you can NO LONGER get the welcome offer on the Green card. But you are eligible for the welcome offer on Platinum Card® from American Express.
🤍 Once you get the welcome offer on Platinum Card® from American Express, you are no longer eligible for welcome offers on the American Express® Green Card or the American Express® Gold Card.
When selecting an American Express business credit card, these rules do not apply.
